How to Create a Habit ?
As I
mentioned earlier, you need to start slowly. This very simple plan for the
first three months will help you a lot:
Step 1: Walk your route three days in a row.
This is all
you have to do. Three days in a row. Don’t think about anything else. Just
three days, anyone can do this. I challenge you to not read a single word after
this paragraph before you have finished these three walks. Go for it!
Did you
make it? Congratulations! You have just finished the first step of your way to
earn your dream body. I’m not kidding, you should be proud of yourself.
Step 2: Walk for three weeks in a row.
This is
probably the toughest part of your journey, but you can do it. You have already
finished half of the first week by completing the first challenge. Now you just
have to keep going.
Don’t use
excuses to skip a day. Keep going, regardless of weather, mood or how tight
your schedule seems to be. Again, don’t read on until you have finished your
third week!
Did you
make it? Again, amazing job! Give yourself a big pat on the back; you have
already completed the toughest part of your journey!
Step 3: Walk three months in a row.
You have
already finished three weeks. One more and you would have successfully walked a
full month! By then, you might have already dropped your first pound.
But don’t
be sorry or frustrated if you didn't. The scale doesn’t always tell the truth
about your progress. You might have built some muscles that compensate or even
outweigh your weight loss. This would be amazing as well. Again, be patient.
You will see results on the scale and in the mirror in due time.
That’s why
you have to keep going. Don’t think about losing weight, just complete the
three months. Just do it. Period.
